I am pleased to announce that I accepted a contract-to-hire position today at Red Hat. Woot! I start Dec. 3rd. |

Cool. Congratulations. <shamelessplug> If you get bored, you (or anyone else) should check out the jobs being offered at Emergent. We need to hire a lot of people. Don't be scared off by whatever dolt who made the webpage's outrageously steep job requirements. </shamelessplug> |

Congrats Naveen! Redhat seemed like a cool place to work the few times I visited there. As for emergent ... if only i lived in NC :( |

I'll be doing middleware to backend Java development. The be on the IT team. Can't say specifically what products I'll be working on, but on UI stuff. It's a perfect match for what I want to do right now and should be a neat place to work. They have a strange mix of a large company feel with small company perks. |

Congrats Naveen! I know one of their internal auditors - her name is Eileen (sorry I don't remember her last name). We were in the grad program together. Super nice lady. Do you have a shorter commute now? |

Yes, shorter commute. I think it'll be down to 30, but without as many delays caused by bad traffic. From what I've seen in the last two months the traffic usually gets bad after Gorman St. but it stays bad until the Wade Ave. merge. On average, probably cutting the commute in half. |
