Maybe I'm a bit slow, but I just accidentally discovered the CTRL+SHIFT+T shortcut in Firefox: "undo last close tab". Neato!!

Undo last close tab is awesome. That shortcut is very handy when you close a tab and only have one tab open, because then you can't right-click the tab bar to get that option.

Another handy shortcut is if you type "google" into the address bar and then hit CTRL+ENTER, it automatically prepends with "http://" and appends with ".com". Add SHIFT and it appends with ".org". I'm not sure how to use ".net", if its even possible.

about:config -> browser.tabs.autoHide = False

CTRL + ENTER = .com
CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER = .org
ALT + SHIFT + ENTER = .net

...it'd be nice if all those worked in IE as well.

I don't even type in .com, .net etc normally. Somehow my address bar got set to do an "I'm feeling lucky search" so I just type in a couple keywords and I'm right where I want to be with no navigation. If only I knew how to adjust the setting... some of my computers do it and some don't :(

I would presume that I'm not telling anyone they didn't already know, but mouse gestures are the most important thing for the internet.

Some things I like in Firefox:

Google toolbar: ctrl-k to focus typing in it for quick searching.

Mouse gestures plug-in: hold left mouse then click right to go forward, hold right mouse then click left to go back, or hold right mouse and drag the mouse left or right to go back or forward, plus some other neat shortcuts to open new windows, resize images, etc.

Adblock Plus plug-in: puts a nice little button around a lot of ad frames for easy blocking, or you can open a list of content to manually block items on a page. Very handy to get rid of those annoying seizure-inducing ads.

ctrl-k works even w/o google toolbar :)
