DrMuffin 2008-06-17 20:36:05	Since the Spore Creature Creator demo was released today (and full creature creator tomorrow) I thought it would be neat to get a thread going with some videos / screenshots of everyone's creations. That is, if anyone else is actually aware of it or interested. Here's a video of my first-ever Spore creature made in the creature creator demo.

Wayne 2008-06-18 01:39:45	That's funny, we (Willow and I) were just talking the other day about how this game is going to be Black and White 2 and inheritly suck :D j/k. Except not really, but I don't play games very much these days so my opinion is of little value.
DrMuffin 2008-06-18 03:54:10	The difference is that Molyneux is not involved, so I have faith that it won't suffer the Molyneux-syndrome. Spore is the creation of Will Wright, creator of SimCity, etc. Ugh. If this was a Molyneux game then I wouldn't even pay attention to it.

Willow 2008-06-18 22:49:54	There hasn't been any indication at all of whether this game is capable of being fun to play. Nobody talks about anything but the editor, and although that can be fun for a while, if there isn't a decent game to back it up, it will get old fast. I'm not convinced that the way you make these characters play around in the world will be the least bit interesting. Basically there are lots of ideas that sound great on paper (or webpages) but none that make me think I'd really enjoy doing that.
Juzam 2008-06-19 11:18:56	That being said, the free demo is fun to mess with. I've been wondering what the gameplay will be like, but haven't gone out to read anything about it. I prefer to be ignorant for now. Being in the know just hurts my gaming experience in the long run. An example is Fable. I followed that game for a LONG time and was very disappointed when it came out. Not that it wasn't fun to play, but it wasn't even close to the hype.
DOOMer77 2008-06-27 12:50:32	I thought fable was AWESOME! I beat it in like one day, well, I should say I accomplished my goal in like one day. Good times. Good times. On Spore: A feeling tells me that if you have to hire Robin Williams to make the crowd enjoy the experience, then either A: it won't be all that great or B: It will be an awesome game for those on speed and cocaine.
