I can't believe that in nearly 7 full years we have not had a thread about beer. What better time to start one than October. I remember a tasty keg of New Castle for Naveen's bachelor party and a couple of years ago Mike and I went to the World Beer Festival and sampled several dozen delicious brews. Some friends that most of you have not met have started a very small micro-brew, but so far it's really just an experiment that will hopefully evolve to something special. In either case, it might be interesting to follow Alex and Dan's relatively detailed progress at piedmontbrewery.com. Tonight, I am enjoying a Hoptober Golden Ale from New Belgium Brewing in Colorado. You may be familiar with the very popular Fat Tire. I also really enjoyed their Mothership beer. Tell us your favorite brews! |

I like Harpoon's UFO. Also, one I've recently grown very fond of is Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout. It's a bit expensive, but very tasty. Oh, and New Castle.. yea. Love it. |

I like new castle, yeungling (however that is spelled), ufo, heiniken (glad you don't have to spell it to drink it) and guiness when irish car bombs are involved. |
