Hey, I'm trying to help someone get a gaming machine, but they have no idea how to put together anything and don't want to buy parts separately to pay someone else to assemble them locally. Anyone have any suggestions? Max price is about $1300. This is the one I was looking at, but I have no idea if Cybertron is a decent place to purchase: click! |

Might just recommend buying through TigerDirect. Another click! |

Man, it's been a long time since I've put together a computer (and even then, I made Jody do most of the work). My only feedback for those particular stats is that I'm not a believer in the "Crossfire" technology (linking multiple graphics cards to one output). I think you'd be a lot better off dropping the second "value priced" graphics card and going for a nice graphics card that costs the same as the two cheap ones put together. I you really want to do your homework, you might also want to look up each of the major components individually on newEgg just to get an idea of the price difference between getting a pre-build package and using component parts. |

tiger direct and new egg are great options. Brick and mortar computer component stores with good deals are rare now. I'll be glad to help assemble if they are local. |

It'd be much easier if they were local. Unfortunately they live in Canada. |
