Dressing

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. Pepperidge Farm herb dressing mix (small)
  • 2 cups cornbread (crumbled)
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 cans cream of celery soup
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Melt butter in a bowl.
  3. Mix butter with onion, celery, and 1/2 cup water.
  4. Boil mixture for 5 minutes.
  5. In a large bowl, mix corn bread, stuffing, celery soup, and chicken soup.
  6. Add butter mixture to large bowl and stir with a fork.
  7. Pour mixture into greased broiler pan, cover with aluminum foil.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Comments

If you like your dressing more moist, you might want to add another can of cream of chicken soup to the final mixture before pouring into broiler pan.  Wait until you get it all mixed up before making that decision.
