Site is up!

Oh yes, the day has finally come. The site is up in its early stages, but still needs tons of work. You can be sure that things will change a lot over the next few weeks. Hopefully for the better

Willow Declared Royalty!

Xbox live was released friday, and natrually, I was there. I played Mechassault this last weekend more than I should have, definately enough to know that I can kick most people out there’s butts. Gabe from Penny Arcade seems to believe that he is the mech king. Well, until I have a chance to test that out, I am declaring myself mech king. Want some, Gabe? Come and get it.

Local residents identified as apparent slackers

A local source reported recently that they had not seen an update to the far-from-complete page Dueling Monkeys for at least 3 days. Investigators are keeping a close lid on information surrounding the delay. Analysts speculate the administrators Wayne and Willow could be "lazy".

Belgian Waffles less than stunning

Wayne and I have finally gotten around to cooking something with the intention of adding it to the site. We tried to make Belgian Waffles this morning (err … afternoon), but they didn’t come out as good as we thought they would. We ended up eating eggos for the latter half of the meal.

Triangle IGDA meeting soon

I guess this is pretty irrelevant to most of you, but the next meeting of the Raleigh/Triangle chapter of the International Game Developers Association meets December 4th. You can expect me to be there.

So close, yet ...

I drew comics to accompany each of the reflections, but have not gotten around to getting them on the computer yet. Although they are written, it may be a while judging from my past performance procrastinating. I have had a new drawing done ready to be colored and sent to the gallery for months, and I haven’t touched it.

There is no light

As I mentioned last night, I got some work done on my game engine. I was trying to implement surface normals for use in lighting and physics. This, in itself, is not difficut. For some reason, however, when I add a light to the scene, the gpu still insists on not shading the terrain. Stupid computers. At least the normals exists so I can use them for physics.

Battle won - war in progress...

These past few days have been a real trial. If you noticed, I posted a rant on Software Engineering (it was listed as 2 days ago, but it’s like 12:20 now, so I’m counting it as a day). The time that I wrote that rant and the due date of our final project were not close by coincedence.

Images at last!

Well, I finally got around to coloring and adding the comics that accompany each reflection. It’s amazing the power of procrastination. I got all of this done in an attempt to put off writing a paper due tommorow. I guess after I finish writing this update, I’ll have to start it.

Don't build houses

Wayne have had a dillemma on our hands the past few weeks. We got Xbox Live, but we didn’t have an ethernet cable run out to the living room. This presented a difficulty because whatever genius designed this house not only decided not to include a crawl space, but they also put in a cathedral ceiling.

I'm so happy

I can’t believe it, but it’s snowing in Raleigh. Snow makes me so giddy. It truly is a pathetic sight to see. I don’t konw what to do with myself now, I think I’ll wrap up in a warm blanket by a window with a hot drink and relax.

It's getting busy

Wow. Things sure are getting busy around here. While I’d love to finish some more features of the site, I have 2 tests in Philosophy, a big final in Calculus, and a 27 page take home final in Discrete Math. Not to mention I’m speding an extra hour per night at work because of Christmas. So sadly, there won’t be a whole lot going on here for a while. At least not on my part. I’m sure Willow will continue to post useless crap like this ;) Anyway, no more website stuff, no more staying up late wasting time, no more video games, no more sleeping… except for now, yeah I think I’ll take a nap right now.

What did I say?

Didn’t I tell you he’d post more useless crap? And it took less than 4 hours.

The slack-ness is apparent

Well, in remotely-site-related events, I colored a new picture for the gallery! Oh wait, we don’t have a gallery yet. I actually made a gallery page, but Wayne took it down because It wasn’t dynamic enough, so now I have no way of showing you my new picture.

The lighter side of blackouts

The past few days many denizens of Raleigh were without power due to the ice storm. Wayne and I were not, so we took in some poor cold friends for a while so they wouldn’t freeze to death. What followed was a series of cooking frenzies.

Life as a burning ball of hatred

My hatred and desire to hunt down and destroy all things relating to computers seems to have taken a dive. This is surely not a coincidence as it coresponds to the completion of my software engineering final exam. Whenever I saw a monitor for months I wanted to smash it because of the pains that class has caused me. But finally, I, a now bruised and battered wretched creature, have escaped the clutches of my devious tormentors to try and rebuild my life from the scraps that remain. Perhaps there is hope that I will be able to complete my degree now.

We survive

Look, Ma! I made an update!

I feel strange

I am sitting in my chair(s) night now baffled at my current state of emotion. Follow me, and together perhaps we can determine it’s meaning.

Thanks pal, just rub it in a little more

While Willow is playing with rubber duckies in his ocean of relaxation and un-responsibility (i made that word up, i think), I’m still trying to finish up some tedious work for a class I hate more than any other (except for chemistry) and more importantly, working like I’ve never had to work before. I work at a shipping company whose name I’ll not reveal for now. It has destroyed what little nightlife I had, and is on the brink of making me hate Christmas forever. Imagine a major shipping company in mid December… Now imagine a crappy supervisor, underpayed employees, and tons and tons of boxes from companies as big as the shipper, not to mention people sending gifts to their friends and families. Maybe I’m just whining too much, but my job really sucks. If you think you have an opening at your company, email me. Thanks
